Juneau, Alaska
Juneau was my favorite part of our trip to Alaska. We first visited the Mendehall Glacier which was neat to see. But the best part about visiting the glacier was that we got to see bears! We saw two different sets of mama bears with cubs. One pulled a salmon right out of the stream to eat about 100 feet from us! The other set were right on the trail to the glacier. The rangers only kept the groups of people back about fifteen feet from the mama bear and the baby bears came right onto the trail.
We then took the Mount Rogers Tramway up to the Mount Roberts Trail. It was so beautiful! We hiked among the clouds and the wildflowers with a fantastic view which made for an unforgettable hike!
