Iceland - A Journey Around the Ring Road, Part 7: The West

After resting for a few days in the North, we hopped in the car for our longest driving day of the trip. We traveled northwest and one of our stops placed us less than 30 miles from the arctic circle! This leg of the drive felt very isolated, passing only a few cars each hour. This was also the section of one lane tunnels that went on for miles. Yes there were pullouts in the tunnels-yes it was still scary. I got my fill of Icelandic ponies as we drove past field after field of them. We just made it to Kirkjufell waterfall before the sun went down and the storm fully rolled in.

When purchasing photos, please note that Metal Prints are highly recommended. They are printed on a sheet of aluminum, provide a high-gloss, brilliant finish and don't need to be framed! Metal prints are located under wall art (not paper prints) when purchasing photos.
